Raising attainment in Reasoning KS1/2

About the event

This workshop will help teachers to be clear about what reasoning mathematical thinking looks like and (more importantly) sounds like every day.

What pedagogies enhance and promote reasoning?

Can we teach reasoning?

Delegates will learn how the power of mistakes can aid children's reasoning skills and how they can effortlessly build into the school day meaningful experiences to build flexible mathematicians in their class. Come and discover what really works and what research shows us about how children learn to reason, take back lots of ideas to try.

All handouts will be emailed with a list of resources you will need for the session.
